Hell's kitchen est un quartier plein de saveurs et d’énergie. Nous racontons cette ville verticale avec des cartes postales comme des petits scenarii qui illustrent le projet. C’est un mélange entre le mode de vie new-yorkais et les petits plaisirs du quotidien dans une grille architecturale évoquant les blocs et la tour si représentative de New York.
Hell’s kitchen is a neighborhood full of flavours and energy. We tell this vertical city with postcards such as small scenarii that illustrate the project. It is a mixture between the New York way of life and the small pleasures of everyday life in an architectural grid evoking the blocks and the tower so representative of New York.
1 - Hell’s Kitchen can’t be an enclave ! Mixed uses and mixed people are the most productive way to make collective life.
2 - Life is a party ! Each event can be celebrate over there. The tower becomes a signal for the district.
3 - New York is a moving city so NYVC is a transit system, connecting the city to the building.
4 - Access and mobility to the Highway to Hell : from the street, the metro and the highline.
5 - Culture vertical city pass. The Cultural Space is a panoramic view point. This floor is very bright and the face to face create interiority.
6 - Ode to Coney Island. Where inhabitants become visitors and tourists enjoy the city such as a New Yorker. Elevator’s revolution ! This theatrical show tells the Manhattan’s morphology.
7 - How a building can be a city ? The New York Vertical City talks about the grid and the orthogonal thread. Programmatic entities are blocks and empty floors are squares.
8 - No more officies far from the windows. Working floors let flexibility and adaptability. The tower is thin and full of sunshine.
9 - « Everything happens on the top » The first tower of Hell’s Kitchen offers the best lunch.
10 - Each structure become a monument. The NYVC just exists by itself but can’t resist to be a symbol.
11 - Covered plaza opened to Hell’s Kitchen hosts the 9th avenue International Food Festival. You can find circus tent and kiosque.
12 - Why Air Balloon ? The building is the first limitless tower of the city. Let’s fly together in the sky.
